In Position

The command post provides good over all vision of the area of operations.

The missile carriers are in position.

We have been sitting here for three days, yesterday was December 7, I figured they would attack then, to hit us on the anniversary of Pearl Harbor.

The troops have dismounted for better vision and for close in protection.

Vehicles are making use of what little cover there is here.

The anti-tank company commander wonders "Is this really war, or another drill?"

Will then enemy attack here?

The men seem ready.

Missiles are at full readiness, and our operational level is high.

Still, the Intell guys say we have to destroy enemy tanks at a rate of at least five to one!

That's a lot of missiles.

The Cold War has gone hot!

President Goldwater has placed American troops on full alert.

It's hard to be strong everywhere.

The aliens had landed in the American sector of Berlin.

It was the worst disaster to happen in 1964.

Many buildings were destroyed by them and more in the subsequent combat.

American troops, seen here were closing in on one of the aliens.

The comms man used a portable satellite link to relay informtion on the location of the alien.

Soldiers of the Future

The soldier of the future as he may have looked in 1964!

New and exotic weapons to confront new and exotic enemies!

Even robot soldiers to gather intelligence.

The updated M60 series tank and the new small arms.

Long range, high speed, low drag anti-tank missiles.

American Snapper

In the 1960's and 1970's the US Army loved dune buggy type vehicles.

They tried several different kinds but eventually they settled on the Humvee .

I am using this for a mid-Cold War anti-tank missile launcher.

This is similar in concept to the Soviet Union Snapper system.

This is an American version of that very common Soviet vehicle.

Rockets ready!
