Bat Buggy

7/01/2014 Add Comment

At Target buying flat bed trucks I found this little gem.

It's a dune buggy in red and black, in a retro style.

I plan on putting a Batman decal on it.

It will be Batmans off road Batmobile!

Flat Bed

As part of my Batman collection, I figured it would be important to have a vehicle retriever.

The Batmobile crashes a lot and certainly you gotta get it back into the shop.

I got this Hot Wheels flatbed at Target for 94 cents.

The cool part is the bed slides down to fetch the car.

So you can winch it up to the front.

There is also a notch in the back of the flatbed so the car does not roll off.

The truck it large enough to handle a full size Batmobile.  It comes in chrome and purple, and I may just stick a Batman sticker over the Hot Wheels logo and leave it this color.  Or not.

Green Lantern

This is a Hot Wheels Green Lantern car.

It's a one man vehicle.

I am using it for my Superhero project.

It's a pretty cool vehicle.

I don't have a Green Lantern figure yet.

Shown here with my Batman for scale.

I like that it's clear.

Gloss Bat

This Bat comes in flat black.

I painted it over with Tamiya clear gloss.

Shown here with Robin.

I think it looks better in gloss black, I look more like the rest of the Bat-fleet of vehicles.

Batman was always known for having interesting transportation.

Hot Wheels is well known for making as many versions of their models as they can.

Hot Wheels makes several different color combinations of this helicopter, including several that are marketed as Hot Wheels vehicles.

I like this color combination.

It makes pretty good, but rather small, helicopter for Batman.

Bat Boat

As part of my superhero project I got this Batmobile.

It's from the 1966 Batman movie.

It is a die cast model.

I like the wings on the trailer and the Batman symbol on the wheel hub.

The underside of the boat.

Super Hero Update

I have built a Batman and a Robin in 1/72nd scale for my Battle Dice figures.

Taking a HaT figure from the Spanish Guerrillas I intend to make Uncle Sam.  The Human Torch will become the Sub-Mariner.  The Invisible Woman will be both Catwoman and Batgirl.

Here the Invisible Woman has had a cape and Bat Pouches added to make Batgirl.

This Roco motorcycle is becoming the Batgirlcycle. I added a cape, bat ears to the figure, a bow to the rear end and an Atlantic Russian Maxim machine gun shield to make the faring.

Catwoman; kitty ears added and claws too.
