Pegasus Truck

2/02/2009

Pegasus Hobbies have finally released their long awaited US Army trucks. These trucks will work well for the period of WWII to the end of the Korean War. They are good for both the US Army and Soviet Red Army. Similar trucks were manufactured in the Soviet Union and in service with the Russians and client states until last Tuesday.

Two of these simple, but detailed kits come in each box. There is a driver figure and the option to use the canvas or stake sides. Model is hard plastic, styrene.

The instruction sheet is a simple one page affair, wheels, mud flaps, dashboard, driver and that's about it.

The lighting is poor so the kit looks rust colored, but the plastic is olive green. Nice close up of the side rails and driver.

Nice detail on the engine vents, this is one big part and makes for easy assembly. Kit can be painted over all olive drab, camouflage or left as is for quick wargame use. Should be an easy sturdy wargame model from Pegasus. Get a bunch of them now so you can transport the soon to be released four sets of WWII Soviet Infantry from Pegasus.
